'Barbagol' Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC Laimburg 2018

Barbagol Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC is a red wine produced by the Laimburg winery. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Lagrein grapes, a native dark grape variety. The plots are located near Bolzano, where the vines plant their roots on predominantly clayey soils. The vineyards enjoy the particularly favorable conditions typical of the Dolomite area, among which the strong temperature variations between day and night stand out. When they reach full maturity, the healthiest bunches are harvested by hand. In the cellar the grapes are gently pressed and then left to ferment in steel tanks. The subsequent refinement lasts for 20 months and takes place in oak barrels, which give the wine a pleasant complexity. Perfect immediately, Barbagol Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige/Sudtirol DOC can also be appreciated after 4 or 5 years of further evolution in the bottle.
