Barbaresco DOCG 'Currà' Sottimano 2016

Barbaresco DOCG Currà is an elegant red wine made by the Piedmontese winery Sottimano , a production reality faithful to the local winemaking tradition. It is obtained from the vinification of grapes of the native Nebbiolo vine. On the vineyards that give the wine its name, the vines with an average age of sixty enjoy the ideal conditions to give life to healthy bunches. With a view to preserving the balance of the ecosystem, human intervention between the rows is limited. When fully ripe, only the best bunches are picked by hand during the harvest. In the cellar the vinification begins with alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins. This step involves the use of only indigenous yeasts and lasts about a month. The subsequent refinement lasts for over a year and a half and takes place in French barriques. Excellent immediately, Barbaresco DOCG Currà is a red that can reserve pleasant surprises even after about ten years.
