'Belcanto' Chianti Classico DOCG Nittardi 2021

Chianti Classico DOCG Belcanto is a red signed by Tenuta Nittardi, a reality that can boast a history whose roots go back some centuries ago. With such a legacy, it follows that the winery wants to pay homage to the traditions that have ensured its success, handing down to future generations the importance of the link with the past. An excellent example of this type of approach can be found in this wine, which ideally wants to pay homage to Michelangelo Buonarroti, a great Florentine artist who, for a period, was the owner of the cellar. To produce this intense and full-bodied red, to the classic Sangiovese, present for 90%, other native vines are added for the remaining 10%. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, while the maturation phase takes place inside tonneaux and lasts for twelve months. After resting for a couple of years in the cellar, the Chianti Classico DOCG Belcanto is perfect to accompany convivial lunches and dinners. Violet-red color, juicy hints of cherry and raspberry on the nose with light notes of Mediterranean scrub and floral notes. Medium bodied, with tannins evident on the palate and a fresh, long finish.
