Bolgheri Rosso DOC Grattamacco 2021

Bolgheri Rosso Grattamacco is a DOC wine obtained from red grape varieties. It is made with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and Sangiovese for the remaining 10%. The Grattamacco winery, elected "Winery of the Year 2014" by Gambero Rosso, has converted all its land to the principles of organic farming. The vineyards are located in Lungagnano, on a windy hill just 100 meters above sea level, between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri. This area of Tuscany is particularly suited to the production of refined and valuable reds, wines that go perfectly with the local cuisine. After fermentation in oak vats, Bolgheri Rosso Grattamacco ages for about 12-18 months in barrique and is then aged in the bottle for a further 6 months. This elegant classic wine, fresh and sapid with a fruity aftertaste, has received several awards, including two Gambero Rosso glasses and four bunches of grapes from Bibenda, the Italian sommelier foundation.
