Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a full-bodied red wine produced by the Argiano winery. It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of grapes of the native Sangiovese vine. The plots are located about 300 meters above sea level, where the vines sink their roots into marly soil, with high concentrations of clay and limestone. Between the rows the works are carried out according to the principles of organic agriculture to create a favorable environment up to the rigorous manual harvest which takes place in the month of September. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are quickly cold macerated and then left to ferment for about two weeks in large steel tanks. The subsequent refinement takes place in Slavonian oak barrels of different sizes, where the wine rests for a period of two and a half years until bottling. Perfect right from the start, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG boasts excellent potential for further evolution over 6-7 years.
