'Carano' Lagrein Riserva Vigna Arzenhof Sudtirol DOC Baron Di Pauli 2019

Carano Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Vigna Arzenhof is an intense and persistent red wine from Baron Di Pauli , a winery of noble origins, located near Lake Caldaro. The Lagrein grapes, an autochthonous vine that expresses itself at the highest levels here, are grown in vineyards located on the Arzenhof hill at about 350 meters above sea level. In the vineyard, the interventions are reduced to the bare minimum, to preserve the purity of the grapes. The bunches are harvested after careful manual selection and the vinification begins with a long maceration of about a month in wooden vats. The refinement phase includes a stop of no less than sixteen months in oak barrels, where the wine acquires its more complex nuances. Carano Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Vigna Arzenhof is a perfect red to be enjoyed immediately, but it can give extraordinary sensations if left to rest in the cellar for up to five years.
