Recommended glass

Ballon
Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The blend of grape varieties is a characteristic of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. In the red "La Bernardine", the dominant grape is mainly Grenache and a smaller percentage of Syrah and Mourvèdre. Grenache is a variety with a lot of softness that gives elegance, silky tannins and great finesse to the wine. The wines of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation are formed from multiple grapes, so the vinification is usually done tailor-made according to the grape varieties and grapes. The vinification remains traditional in closed concrete vats. Average fermentation of 3 weeks at high temperature to ensure optimal extraction of color and tannins.
Aging: lasts 15 months and takes place entirely in cement tanks for better oxygenation of the wine which allows to preserve the freshness and aromas.
At the sight, intense purple color. Nose: complex and fine; blackcurrant and plum, followed by grilled coffee, cherries and morello cherries.
In the mouth, the wine is spicy (licorice) and evolving fruity aromas. very intriguing.
