Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Chianti Classico Riserva wine is an excellent red Riserva, produced only and exclusively in the best vintages. The label is a proposal from the Nittardi winery, one of the most important producers of Chianti Classico, in the hilly area located on the border between the provinces of Florence and Siena. The grapes that give life to this red come from a single vineyard called Vigna Alta, whose vines grown at 500 meters above sea level enjoy an excellent southern exposure. Result of a blend of Sangiovese (95%) and Merlot (5%) grapes, this wine has obtained various national and international awards, including that of the "Gambero Rosso" guide. After a careful harvest, the bunches are transported to the cellar where they undergo a fermentation process in steel. Subsequently, the Chianti Classico Riserva ages for 24 months in French oak tonneaux. Finally, it is bottled and further aged in glass for another 9 months. Ruby red color with purplish hues, fascinating hints of cherries, ripe plums and notes of Mediterranean scrub and spicy tones. Intense and fleshy on the palate. Strong tannins and acidity. Perfect fusion of structure, softness and flavor. Long and persistent finish. It goes very well with first and second courses of meat from the creative Tuscan cuisine. The 1.5 liter magnum format is perfect for long aging, or for enjoying wine with many guests!
