Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description
The elegant Contessa Rosa Alta Langa DOCG Brut Rosè is made by the Fontanafredda winery, one of the best known in the Piedmont area. It is obtained from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two typical varieties of the appellation. The reference vineyards are located in the Langa Albese area. At the beginning of September, only the best grapes are harvested and gently pressed. A part of Pinot Noir grapes is left in contact with the skins for a time ranging from 12 to 24 hours. The vinification involves separate processes for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are fermented respectively in steel and in barriques. The two lots are blended before the second refermentation in the bottle, during which the wine ages on its lees for two years. Contessa Rosa Alta Langa DOCG Brut Rosè is perfect to be enjoyed immediately, but manages to give interesting sensations even a few years after the harvest.
