'Desertico' Sicily Syrah DOC Mandrarossa 2021

Syrah Desertico Mandrarossa is a still red wine, produced by the Sicilian brand Mandrarossa. With the denomination Sicilia DOC, it is the result of the vinification of 100% Syrah grapes, coming from the area with a strong winemaking tradition of Menfi, where this international vine imposes itself as a variety that well expresses the local territorial profile. The vines are rooted in deep soils of fine red sand, reminiscent of the desert. The vineyards are located on a hilly area that varies in slope and altitude and enjoy a particularly healthy microclimate that is favorable for achieving full ripening of the grapes. After maceration on the skins, the vinification involves maturation in steel tanks for three months and subsequent refinement in the bottle for a further three months. The strong link with the territory is also found on the label, where a QR reading code invites you to discover the vineyards of origin. Good structure, fruity and spicy notes, olfactory and gustatory softness, it evolves in the bottle even for a couple of years. Mandrarossa Syrah Desertico is also bottled in the elegant magnum version, with customizable packaging in solid wood or screen-printed cardboard.
