Vinopuro's advices

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

Barbera is the main vine in the Mondo house and this is one of the 3 versions elaborated by Valerio Mondo, oenologist and son of the founder. Wine obtained from selected and hand-picked grapes, in the cellar the skins are left to macerate in the must for 10-15 days. The wine obtained is aged in wood for 6-8 months and further aged for 6 months in the bottle before being released on the market. The scent is winy, fruity, warm, with hints of undergrowth. The ease and pleasantness of the drink is surprising; despite having structure and sustained acidity, typical of Barbera, the wine lets you drink naturally. It goes well with traditional first courses and any type of meat, but also with aged cheeses.
