Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Marega Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Le Salette is a representative wine of the territory in which it is born, the Valpolicella Classica Doc, where the vineyards of the Le Salette farm are located, whose name is a tribute to the homonymous sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna who freed these lands from phylloxera. The reference soil varies from calcareous to clayey, depending on the location of the vineyard even if all are characterized by minerals and skeleton; the microclimate is instead always sunny and moderately windy, a peculiarity that favors perfect ripening of the grapes. The most typical vines of the area are grown on these terroirs such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, and to a lesser extent Oseleta and Croatina from which the most significant wines of the company are born. In particular, the Marega Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Le Salette is a very dark, complex red with a vigorous and persistent flavour, aged for three years in barrique before being placed in the bottle. An elegant wine, with great body and intensity, deep, with a high alcohol content: on the palate it is warm, powerful and structured, with an alcoholic footprint balanced by sapidity, suitable for special occasions and in combination with important meat dishes.
