Description
Le More Barbera d'Asti DOCG is a red wine produced by the Piedmontese winery Cascina Gilli . It is the result of the single-variety vinification of grapes of the native Barbera variety. On the land composed mainly of marl and clay, which are located 300 meters above sea level, the vines find an ideal context for growing, while the skilful work between the rows preserves the delicate ecosystem. Thanks to the harvest with manual selection, only the best bunches arrive in the cellar for vinification. Here the processes begin with the soft pressing, which takes place inside special devices designed by the company itself. Fermentation lasts for a week at a carefully monitored temperature. For the one-year refinement, steel is preferred, a material that allows the varietal aromas to be kept intact. Excellent immediately, Le More Barbera d'Asti DOCG can reserve pleasant surprises even after 2-3 years of careful storage in the cellar.
