Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

It is undoubtedly the most representative wine of the company. We are talking about a DOCG that has recently seen a further qualification at the denomination level: if previously it was called Barbera d'Asti docg (sub-area) Nizza, now only Nizza docg remains, a wine produced in a restricted area (the French would call it Cru) which includes 18 municipalities around Nizza Monferrato. A production disciplinary has set very strict constraints, to maintain high quality standards of the grapes and wines.

At the Franco Mondo farm, after a strictly manual harvest, the vinification follows the classic process in steel tanks and then an essential refinement of at least 18 months in small fine French oak barrels which allow the wine to reach a particular maturation. It has an intense aroma, evident hints of spices, dried rose and vanilla. Marked acidity, typical of Barbera, which gives it important longevity. Structure, intensity, final persistence: all the characteristics of a great wine!
