Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The alluvial soils surrounding Gries are the best growing place for the Lagrein vine, an excellent raw material for obtaining the Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva DOC "Mantsch" red wine, produced by the Cantina Colterenzio winery. The latter is a cooperative with a relatively young history behind it and which has had as its main objective the enhancement of the territory and the production of quality wines. The best expression is given by this full-bodied, aromatic and fruity wine at the same time. The excellence of this wine is due both to the particular composition of the soil, rich in mineral salts, and to the very favorable climate which allows the vine to grow strong and luxuriant and to supply delicious grapes. This wine is certainly a harmonious and delicate red and, over time, it is curious to know that it has been the protagonist, in the Tyrolean area, of the tables of the nobles, the powerful and the clergy, since the distant Middle Ages.
