It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Monsenese Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is a red wine characterized by intense aromas and produced by the San Leonino winery. It is obtained from the vinification of only grapes of the native Sangiovese variety. The vineyards that give the label its name are located about 400 meters above sea level, near the town of Castellina in Chianti. The plots rise on a substrate rich in galestro, a typical rock of the Tuscan territory, capable of ensuring the vines an optimal level of nourishment. Once the manual harvest has been completed, the grapes arrive in the cellar where the vinification begins. The long three-week maceration on the skins is followed by the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent refinement involves an initial rest of two years in oak barriques and a further passage of a few months in the bottle. Monsenese Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG boasts an evolution potential that exceeds 5-6 years, if stored with care.
