It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

Morellino di Scansano DOCG, from Fattoria Le Pupille, was produced for the first time in 1985 and is considered an authentic symbol of the local winemaking tradition. The winery is located in the Pereta area, in the Tuscan Maremma: in this area the cultivation of vines is favored by the type of climate and soil, the latter having a high clay-iron composition. Morellino di Scansano DOCG is obtained from 85% Sangiovese grapes, with the addition of Alicante and Malvasia Nera grapes. Distinguished by an enveloping tannic texture, this wine from Fattoria Le Pupille is produced following the dictates of organic farming, i.e. limiting as much as possible the use of synthetic chemicals both in the vineyard and in the cellar. After harvesting the grapes, between the end of September and the beginning of October, fermentation takes place in steel tanks and, subsequently, maturation in containers of the same type for 8 months. The last stage of the aging process takes place in the bottle. Morellino di Scansano DOCG is a fresh red, with a velvety, rich and balanced body.
