It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

Amarone Classico Pergole Vece is the fruit of the intense work of the Scamperle family, winemakers for generations and owners of the Le Salette company. The vineyards from which this wine is born extend right at the foot of the homonymous Le Salette sanctuary, in the province of Verona, built in 1860 by the winemakers of those lands as an ex-voto to the Madonna for having pardoned them, freeing the vineyards from an aggressive parasite. The province of Verona, and Valpolicella in particular, has for centuries been the ideal place for the cultivation of vines: mild winters, temperate summers and clayey soils create the perfect habitat for the cultivation of the grapes needed for Amarone Classico Pergole Vece. Once the best bunches of grapes have been selected, they are left to dry for about five months, so as to obtain a higher concentration of sugars. These are followed by about three years of aging in barriques and eight months in the bottle. It is a long aging wine, which allows the intense and full-bodied taste to be kept unaltered for many years after the end of the production process. Amarone Vigne Vecie which, with its incomparable elegance and refinement, as well as intensity and sumptuousness, has won the favor of amateurs and connoisseurs from all over the world.
