Description
Pomino Vinsanto perfectly embodies the Tuscan tradition. The meeting between the territory of Pomino, the typical varieties and the historic production process, give rise to unique sensations of their kind: sweetness and freshness balance each other perfectly. The prolonged drying and the long maturation in wood give an intense and complex, with an intriguing and varied bouquet. The 2011 season at Pomino was perfect in combining aromas, freshness and sugar maturity. vine budding occurred slightly earlier than in 2010, thanks to a mild winter. All the other development phases of the vine took place without particular climatic problems until mid-August. During this period, between the end of May and mid-August, average temperatures were normal and rainfall, although not abundant, were distributed in a regular manner. The rise in temperatures in mid-August led to a advance in the vine cycle. The grapes have accumulated a very good quantity of aromas, sugars and polyphenols. Amber in color with golden reflections, Pomino Vinsanto 2011 pervades the nose with an extremely aromatic variety. intense. The notes of dried fruit are the first to appear: walnut, hazelnut, almond, apricot, raisin and fig. From these it is a crescendo of sensations, which from the sweetness of honey and vanilla veer towards roasting and gingerbread. On the palate the sweetness is well balanced with the freshness. The finish is extremely long and warm.
