The Prieuré Vallée d'Aoste Chambave Moscato Passito DOC is a label signed by La Crotta di Vegneron, a prestigious Aosta Valley winery. This sweet wine can boast a very special history, whose noble details enhance its charm. In fact, legend has it that way back in 1494 a Moscato Passito from the Chambave area was offered to the King of France, Charles VIII. Since then this passito has been produced respecting tradition: after a careful harvest, the bunches are left to dry in dedicated fruit cellars. Once the vinification is concluded, which takes place exclusively in steel, the wine is left to rest until Christmas of the year following the harvest.
