Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Quatuor Chapoutier Michel is a great French red wine that comes from the hills of Cote Rotie, one of the oldest vineyards in the Rhône Valley. The Michel Chapoutier winery has been cultivating these plots for almost 100 years, with dedication and love for the area. Quatuor Chapoutier Michel is made with 100% Shyrah grapes from four different parcels. These soils with such different characteristics give the wine a particular and articulated structure. The rocky detritus gives it minerality, while the silt and clay-rich lands give it a spicy taste and black fruits. At Michel Chapoutier the harvest is done exclusively by hand and the fermentation is all natural with native yeasts. Only the best bunches are selected for the vinification. The aging of this full-bodied red wine takes place in sturdy oak barrels for 12 to 18 months. In the glass we find an intense red, with carmine-colored reflections. Nose: very complex, predominantly floral, delicate, the nose opens with aromas of red fruit, spices, in contact with oxygen it opens and evolves continuously, with great emotions. Taste: sumptuous on entry, dynamic and with silky tannins leading to sweet spice and cedar notes on the finish. Important aging potential, if properly stored, for many, many years.
