It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Rosso di Montalcino DOC is one of the most famous labels in Italy and the proposal of the Biondi Santi winery deserves more than a mention. First of all, the age of the Sangiovese vines should be noted, some of which are up to 80 years old. Furthermore, this area of the Sienese hills is famous all over the world for the quality of its wines, also thanks to a particularly favorable climate and soils with an excellent mineral content. In September we proceed to the manual selection of the best specimens of Sangiovese and, subsequently, to their delicate pressing. The decantation on indigenous yeasts takes place in large concrete tanks, then the wine is aged in oak barrels. Aging begins once bottling has been carried out and can last up to 4/5 years. Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a classic of Italian enology, a perfect label especially for special occasions. Elegant and with a robust body, this Tuscan wine never disappoints.
