Etna White Wines

It is a very interesting wine and its denomination provides for a minimum of 60% Carricante grapes and a maximum of 40% Catarratto, the two symbolic varieties of Etna viticulture. The territory of the volcano is completely different from the rest of Sicily, with its cold winters and less intense sunlight. The volcanic soil, characterized by a high drainage capacity and richness, gives the grapes, and subsequently the wine, a peculiar minerality enriched by the aromatic content of the Carricante, which in the vinification phase, gives elegant nuances of white fruit, and by the sustained structure made by Catarratto. The organoleptic characteristics of the white Etna DOC therefore include a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The olfactory profile of the white Etna DOC wine is delicate, characteristic and on the palate it is dry, fresh, harmonious.
