Salice Salentino Reserve DOC Cantele 2018

The history of the Salice Salentino Riserva Cantele 2014 wine has its roots in the early twentieth century thanks to the intuition of Giovanni Battista Cantele and Teresa who were able to make their dream a concrete reality: the protagonist wines of Salento. Today, grandchildren and heirs continue the tradition in Guagnano, in the province of Lecce, giving life to a Negramaro which, in the past, was used to improve the wines of the North and which was, at the time, the only connection between the northern regions and the land that gives such delicacies. Salice Salentino Riserva Cantele 2014 comes from bunches of very sweet grapes that ripen late and are harvested in September. The Cantele Cantele production has become the symbol of a region, Puglia, and of a nation, Italy. The secret is to be found in their vine which produces a wine with an intense ruby red color with light garnet streaks. This extraordinary Negroamaro can be consumed immediately or stored for five to six years.
