Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
Serragrilli Barbaresco DOCG is an elegant and structured red wine, made by the historic Marchesi di Barolo winery. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of grapes of the local Nebbiolo variety, which come from the Serragrilli cru. Here the vines enjoy ideal conditions, including the south-west exposure and the mineral composition of the soils rich in sand and silt. Once fully ripe, only the best bunches are harvested by hand. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, while the malolactic fermentation involves the use of cement vats. The aging takes place in oak barrels of various sizes, where the wine remains for about a year. After bottling, the wine seals its scents with a rest of 9 months in glass. Serragrilli Barbaresco DOCG is a perfect red right from the start, but capable of reserving the best surprises for those who decide to wait up to 5-6 years.
