It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description
St. Daniel Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC is an extraordinary red wine from the Cantina Colterenzio range, which perfectly interprets the peculiarities of this territory. Intended to be vinified alone, the Pinot Noir grapes are grown at an altitude of about 350 metres. The vineyards can benefit from volcanic soils with important morainic deposits, as well as from an ideal microclimate, with strong daily temperature ranges. In the cellar, the vinification begins with a cold maceration and continues with a fermentation at a controlled temperature for two weeks. The refinement phase shows all the skill of the company: for a period of twelve months, two thirds of the wine is placed in 35-hectolitre oak barrels and the remaining third in barriques. With its intense balsamic scents, St. Daniel Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC is an important red, of great elegance and finesse, as the variety requires, ready to be appreciated immediately, but also with excellent longevity.
