'Terlaner Cuvée' Alto Adige DOC Terlano 2022

Terlaner Cuvée Alto Adige DOC is a white wine produced in one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Alto Adige, the Terlano winery, born way back in 1893. Terlano is one of the most avant-garde cooperatives in all of Alto Adige, made up of 143 members. The vineyards of Cantina Terlano are located at the foot of Mount Tschöggel, on the left bank of the Adige river, an area with a climate characterized by considerable temperature variations, thanks also to the altitude of the vineyards which reaches 900 metres. This area has soils of volcanic origin, with lots of sand, clay and silica, perfect for growing grapes. The vineyards are located on rough terrain and this requires above all manual work. Terlaner Cuvée Alto Adige DOC is a wine obtained from a blend of the three most traditional varieties grown in Terlano, namely 60% Pinot Blanc, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. The fermentation of this wine is slow and takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The aging takes about 7 months partly in stainless steel barrels and partly in large wooden barrels. Terlaner Cuvée Alto Adige DOC is perfect to drink immediately, but can rest in the cellar, even for 2-3 years.
