The history of the production of distillates in India is very recent, as in all Asian areas, but the advantage that these producers bring is undoubtedly linked to the experience matured and acquired in the countries of origin of the various distillates and the inevitable and profitable enthusiasm that new makers add to their projects. The result is very interesting, well-finished and naturally original products, because in any case the raw material is (mainly) local and, therefore, unusual and unobtainable in other distillates. In particular, this discourse is applicable to gin which uses, in its recipe, the so-called "botanicals", or herbs and spices which in India are truly particular and of high quality.
