    Cabernet Sauvignon

    It is certainly one of the most cultivated and therefore best known vines in the world. From a botanical point of view, it is a close relative of Cabernet Franc, a certainly less known grape, but no less important. Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the Bordeaux area, in France, and it is known that the most prestigious and recognized labels in the world come from here; the interesting aspect however is represented by the fact that this plant is extremely versatile, that is it adapts very well to climatic situations and also to different wine making techniques and it is for this reason that its production is truly widespread all over the world. This is why it is known as an "international vine". In the Bordeaux area, but not only, it is often blended with Cabernet Franc and Merlot . This blend is commonly known as the "Bordeaux blend". We should add that this grape is particularly suitable for the production of wines of remarkable quality and longevity. Its organoleptic characteristics are defined and recognizable: the wine obtained has an intense ruby red colour, while the taste is warm, full-bodied, fruity, with very pleasant herbaceous notes. The resulting wine is ruby red in color and has a warm flavor on the palate, while it is herbaceous and fruity in body.
