Friulian

Behind this extraordinary wine and the grape that makes it up (Tocai) there is a story of ordinary bureaucratic paradox: in essence, since 2008 the European Community has obliged Friulian producers to name this wine precisely as Friulano , and no longer as Tocai (as per centenary tradition) as Hungary won the legal dispute where it claimed that the consumer could have confused our dry white wine Tocai with their sweet raisin wine called Tokaji, produced with Furmint grapes (of proven Friulian origins! ). In any case, Friulano is a straw yellow wine with greenish hues. The scent is fine and characterized by typical hints of almond blossom and bitter almond. On the palate it is soft and has an excellent structure, with a good balance between freshness, flavor and alcoholic component and with a pleasant almondy persistence. A real treat for season ticket holders with local cuisine.
