Sauvignon

It is a vine of French origin which, due to its versatility, is grown and produced in every corner of the earth. The personality of Sauvignon (Blanc) is undeniable, its pungent aromatic charge, which is counterbalanced by a tantalizing sapidity, perfect to accompany an infinite number of dishes, especially vegetarian ones. Its extraordinary minerality gives life to wines of great thickness, deep, characterized by fresh, typically vegetal and aromatic notes (the famous tomato leaf). Bordeaux and the Loire are its areas of choice, while in Italy the areas with the greatest vocation for this grape are undoubtedly the Collio Goriziano and the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The Sauvignon Blancs from Alto Adige are excellent, fat and above all pulpy, while those from New Zealand, especially the Marlborough area, know how to combine the freshness of citrus fruits with an inebriating tropical richness. Sauvignon must be tried in all its forms!
