Schiava 'Sofi' Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT Franz Haas 2021

The Schiava Sofi Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT is a young red wine from the Franz Haas winery, a reality with a long family tradition in the field of viticulture. Dedicated to his daughter Sofia, the label is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Schiava grapes, a local variety recognizable by its pale colour. Cultivated with a pergola system on the fertile soils of the Dolomites, the vines can grow luxuriantly, thanks to the environmental conditions and above all to the skilful work carried out in the vineyard. Once the ideal degree of ripeness has been reached, the bunches are selected by hand and transported to the cellar. Here the vinification starts from the fermentation of the grapes with temperature monitoring. To obtain a fresh wine rich in varietal scents, the refinement involves a passage in steel containers which does not last longer than five months. The result is a ready-to-drink, fragrant wine: Schiava Sofi Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT is best appreciated if enjoyed shortly after bottling.
