The Barbazzale Bianco Sicilia white wine from the Cottanera winery is obtained from vineyards located at an average altitude of 700 metres. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, on hills characterized by lava soils and alluvial bed and by a warm, dry climate which allows the grapes to ripen perfectly. To obtain this wine, Catarratto grapes are mainly used, to which a small percentage of Viognier grapes is added. To obtain the Barbazzale Bianco Sicilia wine, after the harvest is done by hand, a cold maceration is carried out followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16 degrees for a period of 20 days. The refinement phase instead lasts about 3 months and is carried out directly in steel, before proceeding with bottling. The result is a wine of excellent quality, easy to drink, elegant and finely structured, ideal for drinking on any occasion.
