Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Benanti 's Etna Rosso is produced with grapes from one of the most fascinating places on the world wine scene: Etna. This winery, founded in 1734, works with passion the fruits of the vines which, depending on the slopes of the volcano, take on different, unique and inimitable characteristics. To a majority of Nerello Mascalese is added a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio grapes which emphasize the typical character of the area and manage to give life to an elegant, subtle, fresh and ready-to-drink red wine. The northern slope of Etna has always been one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of red grapes. At a height of between 450 and 900 meters above sea level, the climate is strongly influenced by constant winds, hot days and rather cold nights which allow for healthy grapes with a strong character. After fermentation, Etna Rosso is left to mature for about a year, first in steel tanks and then in oak barrels, before being put on the market. It is a wine with an intense ruby color, pleasant and capable of surprising for its fresh sapidity and great balance.
