Description
Lumera Donnafugata is a rosé wine classified as Sicilia DOC Rosato. It was born on the Contessa Entellina estate of the Donnafugata agricultural society, in south-western Sicily. The Lumera that gives its name to the wine is the protagonist of a Sicilian poem that celebrates courtly love and uses the form of the Dolce Stil Novo. Nero d'Avola, Syrah and Pinot Noir grapes are used for the production of Lumera Donnafugata. The former in particular is the most important Sicilian red grape variety, capable of giving a lot of personality to the wines. The vineyards are located in a hilly area where the climate, dry and with strong temperature variations, is ideal for obtaining healthy grapes. The harvest begins in the second ten days of August. The vinification involves a short cold maceration followed by fermentation in stainless steel and refinement, first in the tank and then in the bottle. Lumera Donnafugata is an original rosé, fresh but at the same time with a good structure, suitable for moments of relaxation and leisure.
