The Palladino company was born from Piero's ancient passion for viticulture. He studied oenology, but life took him elsewhere to carry out different activities, until, in 1974, he had the opportunity to buy a winery and his lifelong dream came true. Together with Maurilio, he manages the company which, from generation to generation, has successfully reached the present day. Today Palladino represents the tradition of the great Langa wines, proposed in a young and dynamic way. It combines the awareness of its history with the needs of modernity, with the aim of making the quality of a production strongly linked to the territory, composed exclusively of Piedmontese denominations vinified in purity, appreciated in Italy and abroad. The Palladinos have always adopted a simple philosophy, centered on the connection with tradition, respect for the terroir and passion for their vineyards. Tradition brings history back to life through the memory of the past and respect for the vine, worked according to the ancient custom of manual operations, to bring healthy grapes to the cellar, which will be followed step by step, until they are transformed into wine. The ancient cellar was created in a building in the center of the town, where since the end of the nineteenth century wine and life have formed a strong combination. The cellar is divided into three departments connected to each other to facilitate the different processing phases, three environments where tradition and modernity blend. Steel tanks and concrete tanks welcome the wine after the steps that begin with the soft pressing. The long fermentation reflects the canons of tradition to enhance the characteristics of the blend. Large French oak and Slavonian oak barrels, of different capacities, store the wine during refinement. 4 crus of Barolo, Barbera d'Alba and Dolcetto: here are the local wines that enhance the passion and experience of a family dedicated to viticulture.
