The history of the estate begins in 1300 when the Venerosi family arrived in Ghizzano and decided to purchase the various farms, which today constitute the company structure, and began producing oil and wine. With Pierfrancesco Venerosi, in the 80s, the company made the leap in quality: he, going against the current, decided to invest in the vineyard and in the cellar to try to produce a unique wine, capable of facing the market and carrying the name high of the Ghizzano Estate.

Thus, in 1985, Veneroso was born, the first wine of the estate, which bears the name of the ancestor Veneroso Venerosi who first gave life to the initiative. Today the estate has 350 hectares of property, of which 20 are vineyards, 20 are olive groves, 150 are cereal crops and woods. Furthermore, since 2008, the dictates of organic farming have been followed.

The basic production scheme involves full fruit maturity, calibrated tannic extraction and adequate maturation in barrique. All surrounded by a strong natural push, due to the organic and biodynamic conversions that have characterized the company's choices in recent years. This splendid reality in the Pisan Hills is led with a confident attitude by Ginevra Venerosi, who has managed to give a truly personal imprint to this winery.
