Villa Bucci

The Bucci family has been involved in agriculture since 1700, but for about 40 years part of the estate has specialized in quality viticulture. It is a wine-growing reality, that of Bucci, which has contributed massively to the rebirth of viticulture in the large Castelli di Jesi area. It is here that Verdicchio, probably the most important white grape variety in Italy, finds its maximum expression, creating unique wines for complexity and longevity. The Bucci family cultivates approximately 30 hectares of vineyards organically in the lands of Ostra Venere, a small town in the province of Ancona. A wonderful place that hosts the typical varieties of the area, so in addition to Verdicchio, we also encounter Sangiovese and Montepulciano which represent the production of red wines of the cellar, while the entire farm has an area of approximately 350 hectares and a production diversified: wheat, corn, beets, peas, seed crops, sunflowers. The area has always been suited to the production of wine: the vineyards grow on medium-textured soils that tend to be clayey and have a high limestone content. Finally, optimal exposures and extremely favorable microclimates for the cultivation of vines complete the picture, ensuring that perfectly ripe, high-quality bunches are harvested. In the cellar, a modern and efficient structure transforms the work carried out in the vineyard into labels of the highest quality: each production step is strictly monitored, so as to produce wines capable of describing the maximum oenological excellence of the Marche and Verdicchio dei Castelli of Jesi and those which are to be included, without a shadow of a doubt, among the most significant wines of the entire Adriatic Coast. A significant example, the "Villa Bucci", a truly extraordinary Verdicchio Reserve, a white wine born in 1983, which over the years has literally written the history of a territory and an entire denomination. A unique white, whose fame is recognized throughout the world, flanked by a line of wines that stand out for their finesse and elegance.
