'Solaia' Toscana Rosso IGT Antinori 2020

The Toscana Rosso IGT Solaia from the prestigious Antinori winery is a red wine produced from a blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Sangiovese (20%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). A great Supertuscan famous internationally, which has achieved various national and international awards including, in the 1997 vintage, the title of 'Best Wine of the Year' worldwide by Wine Spectator. Excellent drunk young, it is extraordinary left to rest in the cellar for more than 10 years. The grapes of this wine contain all the flavors of Tuscany; a great red, the result of skilful vinification in barriques and subsequent aging in new French oak barriques for 16-18 months, after which it is bottled. However, before being placed on the market, it is still aged for at least one year in the bottle. The result is a full-bodied, very elegant Toscana Rosso IGT Solaia, a real excellence for an intense wine that stands out for its excellent persistence.
