The Barbera d'Alba DOC Conca Tre Pile of Poderi Aldo Conterno is the representative par excellence of the Langa terroir. Son of the oldest vineyards of the Cru Bussia of Monforte d'Alba, it enhances the tastes and aromas of one of the most suitable and famous wine-growing areas of Piedmont. Produced exclusively with Barbera grapes selected manually at the time of harvest, it is a complex and velvety red wine, to be drunk young but, at the same time, suitable to be enhanced after good aging. Macerated together with the skins and left to rest in wooden barrels for about 12 months, Barbera d'Alba DOC Conca Tre Pile embodies the thousand facets of an important and complex terroir, particularly suited to the production of superior quality red wines. A noble soil, calcareous and clayey, rich in iron and calcium carbonate, supplies nourishment to the juicy bunches of Barbera which, favored by the excellent exposure to the south-west, ripen in the vineyards of Aldo Conterno, managed with rigor and in full respect of nature. Warm, with an excellent body, silky, combined with mineral, spicy, herbaceous notes accompanied by small red fruits. On the palate the wine is structured and harmonious, with a very fresh, pleasantly acidulous body, typical of Barbera, enlivened by an excellent spicy sensation, typical of the area of origin of the grapes. Intriguing and alternative wine.
