The story of the organic red "Desiderio" IGT Toscana Avignonesi was born over a century ago in Valiano di Montepulciano and tells of the gigantic bull Desiderio that lived inside the Le Capezzine farm in Avignonesi . It is the same bull that stands out on the label and which has become one of the symbols of Tuscany as it has helped to define the Chianina breed, from which the Florentine steak comes. "Desiderio" IGT Toscana Avignonesi is a still organic red, obtained from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, processed without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, harvested separately between September and October on the hills of Chiuso della Valdichiana and vinified using exclusively indigenous yeasts. The Avignonesi winery excels in biodynamic viticulture and Desiderio IGT Toscana is an eloquent expression of this: it is a sustainable wine that receives few interventions in the vineyard and few passages in the cellar. Deeply tied to its origins and to the land of Montepulciano, "Desiderio" Avignonesi is a well-structured red, with long aging and appears enveloping and "fiery" like the bull of the same name.
