André Lurton

André Lurton
Information
Region: Bordeaux (France)
Address: Château Bonnet 33420 Grézillac (France)

Founded way back in 1924, André Lurton is, to this day, a thriving winery in full operation, which also gave its name to the group of the same name; is located in the wonderful Bordeaux area, one of the most famous wine production areas in France and in the world. André, originally from a small village in the Gironde, once the Second World War ended, took on a very important and decidedly active role within important realities, both at an agricultural level and at the level of wine production in the area, progressively acquiring vineyards and château. Wine is his reason for living and fully expresses his love for the territory. To date, the company continues to be the spokesperson for a method of making wines, typical of the French tradition, which aims to enhance the important knowledge of the entire community of vignerons, who contribute with their products to the success and prosperity of this great reality of French enology. The vines grown in the over 260 hectares over which André Lurton's domain extends are obviously the great classics of the Bordeaux area, which make up the homonymous blend (also called "cut"): from Merlot, an international vine which is expressed here to maximum levels for Cabernet Franc, up to Malbec and Petit Verdot, two particular and very different vines, which in this area reach optimal peaks in terms of quality. Some of the most famous wines labeled as Vignobles André Lurton include the most important reds of the area, as well as excellent rosés that are fresh and immediate to drink.
