Bodega Chacra

Bodega Chakra is a wine cellar that was founded in 2004 with an initiative by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, in the territory of Mainqué in the Rio Negro region, Argentine Patagonia. The owner comes from an ancient family of winemakers, nephew of the Marquis Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, creator of the famous Sassicaia wine. Bodega Chakra wines are inspired by the chakras, centers of vital energy and stimulate all the senses of our body. Curiously, the Rio Negro region has ideal conditions for growing Pinot Noir grapes. An area of Patagonia with high temperatures, mitigated by the cold wind from the Andes. The winery uses native grapes, with vines that also date back to 1932; the most recent vines were planted about 20 years ago. Bodega Chakra red wines are made exclusively from pinot noir grapes. This grape, delicate and particular, finds its ideal climate in the region. Low humidity and wind protect the grapes from sun and precipitation and have made the region famous throughout the world. All the winery's red wines are organic and biodynamic . The Bodega also offers new experiments such as the Sin Azufre red wine or the classic Chacra Treinta y Dos and Cinquenta y Cinco which take their name from the years in which the vines were planted. The red wines of the cellar have a delicate and fruity aroma, with notes of cherry and sweet spices, velvety tannins that give the wine a particular structure, suitable to be enjoyed even when young. The winery also produces a Chardonnay, with grapes harvested prematurely, an excellent organoleptic structure, a good level of acidity and an aftertaste that comes from the limestone residues of the soil. High-level winery that perfectly represents the mission and high potential of South American wines.
