The Duca di Salaparuta Group brings together three historic brands that represent Sicily and Italy in the world: Corvo and Duca di Salaparuta , born in 1824, and Florio born in 1833. The Duca di Salaparuta Group brings together two great families that have contributed to change Sicily and the history of Italian wine thanks to a natural inclination towards innovation. The Dukes of Salaparuta, in 1824, were the first to bottle their wine, the first to study oenology in France and to bring to Sicily the idea of elegant wines and the know-how necessary to produce modern wines. Even in the years in which the company was managed by the Sicily Region, the push towards the new never failed, in fact in this period Duca Enrico was born, the first pure Nero d'Avola, now considered by all the main grape variety of the Sicilian viticulture.

La Duca di Salaparuta Spa, by will of the current owner Illva Saronno Holding, in recent years has defined an investment plan aimed at highlighting all the evocative strength of the Cellars and Estates, but also at further strengthening the control of the grapes and the quality of the wines. Interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar, important investments that have made the Duca di Salaparuta a point of reference for the ampelographic analytical control of the whole of Sicily, which have enhanced and expanded it through the purchase of new territories and which have contributed to strengthening the brands that constitute it.
