Armand de Brignac

The luxury brand Armand de Brignac was born in the 1950s by Nelly Cattier, who read this name in a novel and, struck by the noble and high-sounding aura it inspires, decided to register the brand. In reality, the Cattier family has been producing champagne for 13 generations. The goal of Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son Alexandre was then to create the best cuvée ever, reaching the absolute pinnacle of quality. From this dizzying ambition was born, with the marketing of the "Gold" label in 2006, the prestigious range of Champagne that we all know today. Curious note, the company was recently acquired by American musical stars Jay-Z and Beyoncé, but production is still handled by Jean-Jacques and Alexandre Cattier, the old owners. Today the prestigious labels are born from a rigorous and obsessive selection of grapes and virtuous production systems that the Cattier family has developed over 250 years of experience. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes come only from areas classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru, grown with great care and attention to environmental sustainability. The so-called Cuvees are assembled every year by harvesting the fruit of three different harvests, after skilful aging in French oak barrels. The long refinements take place slowly in the ancient underground cellars dug into the chalk, owned by the Cattier family. The final dosage of the Champenoise method bears the signature and character of the Maison and is made up of a selection of reserve wines, religiously preserved. The Armand de Brignac Champagne project rests its solid foundations on the long centuries-old tradition and rigorous craftsmanship of the Cattier family, intent on producing with these labels the best and most luxurious expressions of the Champagne region. The golden bottles of the Gold line are now iconic and therefore recognized and appreciated throughout the world.
