The history of this winery was born in the 60s with a small, typically artisanal production, that is when Mario produced wine in his small cellar, intended for consumption by family and friends. As the years passed, his son Mauro, infected by his father's passion, also began to collaborate in the cellar and, in 1986, began the production of bottled wine, specializing in the typical local product, namely Moscato d'Asti. We are in Santo Stefano Belbo, a land that has inspired great writers such as Cesare Pavese, where for several generations the Perrone family has run with pride and deep passion a 19-hectare company that collects the best sites of this natural hilly amphitheatre, also cultivating all the other local grapes therefore, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Favorita and Brachetto. Today the cellar is firmly managed by Mauro, supported by his wife Bruna and his tireless parents Mario and Maria. His daughter Sabrina, on the other hand, takes care of the accounting part. The last to join the company was his son Fabio who, after graduating from the Enology school in Alba, put his studies to good use, using everything that previous generations had handed down to him. The Perrone family, therefore, personally takes care of the entire production cycle, starting from the management of the vineyards up to the packaging of the bottle. The company believes in sustainability, both as regards the vineyards for which it prefers a "green" approach, and for the cellar, which has been equipped with a photovoltaic system for energy recovery. Moscato d'Asti, as already mentioned, is, for production, a reference wine; in fact, for Fabio Perrone it represents the origin of his winemaking history. From the beginning, the company has believed a lot in this typical wine, which for years has been maligned by the public and critics, also offering it in a passito version; the vineyards are in the heart of the denomination with grapes coming from vineyards located in the surrounding municipalities of Santo Stefano Belbo, Castiglione Tinella and Coazzolo d'Asti where Moscato is the sweet wine par excellence.
