Tenute Sella

The Tenuta Sella winery is located in the Piedmont region, precisely in the province of Biella, in an area known for the production of high quality wines. The history of the winery dates back to 1671, when the Sella family purchased the land on which the estate was located. Since then, the family has dedicated itself to wine production with passion and dedication. Over the centuries, the Tenuta Sella winery has become increasingly renowned for its production of high quality wines, which best express the characteristics of the territory in which they are produced. During the 19th century, the Sella family began to export their wines outside of Piedmont, achieving ever greater success. During the twentieth century, the Tenuta Sella winery experienced moments of great transformation and innovation, thanks to the passion and commitment of the descendants of the Sella family. In 1953, in fact, the cellar was equipped with a modern winemaking system, which allowed the quality of the wines produced to be further improved. Today the Tenuta Sella winery continues to produce high quality wines, with particular attention to the valorization of the territory and environmental sustainability. Among the wines produced by the winery, we highlight Lessona, a red wine obtained from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the hilly area of Lessona, Bramaterra, a red wine obtained from Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Croatina grapes, and Coste della Sesia, a red wine obtained from Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Croatina grapes grown in the Gattinara and Ghemme area. The Tenuta Sella winery therefore represents an example of excellence in the production of high quality wines in the Piedmont area, thanks to the passion and commitment of the Sella family and their collaborators.
