Depperu

The Depperu winery is a recent reality (founded in 2000), but today very appreciated, located in the heart of Gallura, among the splendid hills of north-eastern Sardinia. Depperu extends over 20 hectares of vineyards, divided into 15 hectares dedicated exclusively to Vermentino, with old vines of 40 years of age and the remaining 5 based on Nebbiolo. All the vineyards cultivated with Vermentino are suggestively arranged on an entire hill at 350 meters above sea level in the Luras area, a beautiful place. It was born first with Paolo Depperu, the founder, and is carried forward with passion and ambition by his three sons Luciano, Andrea and Giovanni. Over the years, the cellar has grown and developed, becoming an important point of reference for quality Sardinian oenology. The winery has maintained its tradition of making wine only from local grapes (except Nebbiolo), grown in the suitable vineyards surrounding the farm. These quality grapes, combined with the knowledge and experience of the Depperus, have allowed the winery to produce wines with unique and distinctive characteristics. Over the years, the winery has invested in cutting-edge technologies for winemaking and wine refinement, in order to ensure that each bottle is the true expression of the territory. This commitment to quality has led to the growing popularity of Depperu wines, which have been praised by critics and won numerous awards. The cellar is also a point of wine tourism attraction, where visitors can learn more about the family business and taste the cellar's fine labels.
