Fifty years ago Grandfather Min and then Livio Zorzettig began a story that continues today with Tunella by Massimo and Marco Zorzettig (guardians together with their mother Gabriella of the family traditions). In them and in their precious collaborators, including their friend Luigino Zamparo, a highly capable oenologist, current events and memory, the desire to experiment and the highest traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli coexist. In Tunella wines we find all the generous freshness of new and creative energies... but History, Memory and Tradition remain the solid and constant points of reference of a present that day after day builds the future. We are faced with a truly dynamic reality, attentive both to the production of wine and to its overall image, which in just a few years has brought it to the top of regional and national quality. Also important are the lands on which the wines of this company are born, made up of sandstone and marl (in local dialect: ponca) which, combined with the climate, create a unique and favorable environment for the growth of the vine. The fortune of the Tunella winery can be understood by visiting the 70 hectares of vineyards spread across a dozen plots on the hills of Premariacco, on the border with the Bosco Romagno: tidy vineyards, of the right fineness, with enviable exposures and roots well sunk into the ponca, which it guarantees health, the right amount of water and, consequently, excellent quality of the vines. The winery's 70 hectares of vineyards bear witness to a landscape of rare beauty and suggestiveness, featuring a unique territory such as that of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, which guarantees the wines perfect fragrance, the right complexity and immediate drinkability.
