Erpacrife

The Erpacrife winery was founded in 1999 and is a project designed and created by four friends and classmates at the Alba Enology School: the name is, naturally, an acronym and corresponds to the first letters of the names Erik, Paolo, Cristian and Federico. The four immediately had clear and, frankly, quite innovative ideas, especially for the area: producing a classic method sparkling wine using pure Nebbiolo, instead of the usual Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes: a real challenge. In 2003 the first label was released, that is, the first vintage of their Quality Classic Method Sparkling Wine, based on Nebbiolo. Today, more than ten years later and with the fame of having been the first in Italy to use Nebbiolo for sparkling wine production for this purpose, their production also boasts a Quality Classic Method Sparkling Wine produced from native Piedmontese Erbaluce grapes, Cortese, Timorasso and Moscato Bianco and a Moscato Spumante, always with secondary fermentation in the bottle, i.e. classic method, a true technological rarity. An ambitious and original project in which the 4 friends have never stopped believing, indeed over the years investments have been made in research and experimentation to improve and refine procedures and methods that we can certainly declare innovative. Currently the Erpacrife market is divided here more or less equally between Italy and abroad, with the United States and the East leading exports. As evidence of the excellence of the results achieved, the winery is present with its products in some highly prestigious Italian starred restaurants, such as La Pergola, Le Calandre and even the Pinchiorri wine shop in Florence.
